I am surprise how much this picture moved
me. This picture is showing a that a DJ is enjoying listening to his music
while scratching the stove without noticing that it’s not his DJ disc and his
hands are burning. The artist of this picture is clearly telling us while
focusing on the thing you love you can easily forgot about anything else.

Bus doing pushups
This is another art work that created to celebrate the Olympic in London this summer. The image of this huge piece of art work gives very strong images. It is very interesting that the bus is doing push up, perhaps the artist was trying to implies that in order for London to host the Olympic that their transportation has to do the heavy lifting. I’ve always enjoyed the huge art works like this; it is very interesting yet is free for everyone to view which implies that art is for everyone. People can feel free to take picture and appreciate it closely. I believed this is also a piece of Dadaist but I can’t be sure of that. Even though the concept is very clear, it is very hard to make this image to exist like we are now seeing. To assemble the arms for the bus and making the bus raise unbalance seems like a huge work. I believed that they moved all the parts to the place where they wanted to exhibits and assemble them together, otherwise there is no way they can movie this object as the way it is. The spray painting of this art work might be even more challenging, considered the arm color has to match the body of the bus. While putting them together the paint can easily be scratch. After all, with the huge sport event like this nothing match better than the huge bus doing pushups and getting ready for the excited London Olympic.
Steel Wire
These pictures might look like they are generated by computer but they are actually made it by Chinese artist Shi Jindian. He created the most perfect sculpture by using the steel wire. Shi Jindian was always looking for a material that can be flexible while look as untraditional as possible. While he found out steel wire is expertly what he needed he was able to create all kinds of things, including instrument like violin, cars, motorcycles. His technique was to wrap those steel wires around the actual thing and somehow remove or destroy the things which were wrapped inside. After getting every part he needed, he carefully assembles them together. After many errors he was able to master the technique of making 2 dimension parts into 3 dimensions. It is amazing how he can get almost every details right and make it seems so realistic. The most impressive part is that he can make those parts in the motorcycle and put it in the right place, which is almost like x-raying a motorcycle. I am not exactly sure the meaning behind all these amazing works that he has done. I guessed the spirit of insisting the perfection is what motivated him to complete his works.
Batman 50's Rockabilly Universe
As you probably already know Nolan’s three series of Dark knight brought Batman alive and put Batman back on top in the superhero movies competition. While discussion of the newest Batman movie, The dark knight rises did not top the last one still remain controversial. Yet it didn’t stop the artists who are interested in comic type art or superhero characters to start to create new Batman art works. Batman is my favorite superhero, my childhood memories. I was very impressed when found out the artist; Denis Medri is redesigning Batman characters by using the style in 50’s, he called it Batman 50's Rockabilly Universe. It is a very cool idea that to put characters that had already been created in 50’s and giving them new designs. As detail as it can be, Denis Medri giving those characters new styles. Imagine what outfit Batman would wear if he is in the 50’s. In Batman 50's Rockabilly Universe, Batman is wearing leather jackets, wearing goggles, and using pipe as his weapon even the Bat-Mobile has an old school look. Joker’s hair style looks different as well, each character are having the style of 50’s which fit their character. As a Batman fan I am really glad that many people many artist like Denis Medri are giving those superhero new looks which is like giving them a new life. Knowing that the movie, The Dark Knight rises is the last Batman movie. It is good to see more people are supporting their superhero by their art works.
