These impressive paintings are actually photos took by satellite of the planets. Even though it is not the first time people took artistic photo from nature it is the first time NASA compiled 158 pages of book and sell it as products. One of the images is taken from the Pinacate National park in Mexico Senora. The other image is taken from the Mississippi River Delta, showing how amazing powerful that the river can cut through the land and switch channels. It is amazing how satellite photos of earth can be so much alike to the abstract paintings. Sensors of satellite are can show the light outside of our visible range. So there are actually more going on in these images that we can’t actually see. When I first saw the title of this book, I thought it is amazing how creative people can be when their goal is to make money. The book of these images is selling for $44. If the book is very well responded than it’s just about time of NASA making posters and coffee tables. Just to imagine having a satellite poster of your home town hanging in your living room, how cool would that be? What NASA should do is charging people for browsing current images of earth online to make a big fortune. After all, I think images like these can be a big seller for the art market. If arts are the reflection of the nature, who can take better photo than NASA satellites.
