Olympic Prints

This is a design by a creative agency called DesignStudio. The point of designing this Olympic print is to raise money for children’s charity. The idea is a lot similar to the algorithm we talked about in class; basically they made different prints for those countries that win multiple medals. Depends on how many golds, silvers, browns, the country won, they made a print according to the country’s record. So the patterns of prints are arranged by records of the medals each country won and each print represent each country. For instance, the picture on the right represent team Great Britain finished with 29 gold, 17 silver and 19 bronze. The other picture shows that the total of 962 all the countries won. The simple but stylish pattern of gold, silver, brown dots can easily be notice for its Dadaism style.
The simple instruction created those prints and sold it to over 85 countries to earn money for children’s charity. The idea making this algorithm prints has very high market value. Since the prints represent the pride of each country, on top of that the purpose of those prints are sold to chip in the money for children’s charity. Due to all the righteous reasons, the print became hard to resist especially for those people enjoyed getting notice for being supporting their own countries and doing good things. However, I also found out how easy it is for everyone to make a Olympic print at home using their own computer.
