Happy Apocalypse

Sick and tired of traditional Christmas calendar? Apocalypse Advent Calendar is your best choice. Each day artist Posta will uncover an art work and count down the days till the judgment day finally arrives. Starting from December 1st Posta already uncovered five of his art work, each art work represents a disaster that could have happened today. Posta was inspired by the prediction of Apocalypse in 2012 by Mayans’. Instead of following the hype talking about what might going to happen. Posta unveil his own style of celebrating this season by sending out religious warning. Posta thought it would be interesting to mix up the whole Christmas and end-of-the-world thing. Thinking from his perspective, it is an ironic way to show what are going to happen for all of us if end-of-the-world is a real deal. Checking on five images he already released, the disasters he chose are kind of random. While expecting it would be similar things as Bible, Apocalypse Advent Calendar chose of disasters tend to be more diverse and comic like. So far there are the introducing skull, a snake, a locust, a fire ball, a Tai-four faces god, and a dragon. Except the Locusts which represent all consuming fear is more Christen disaster like, other disaster are all from different cultures. What amazed me are the details that Posta strongly emphasize on those images, he used Photoshop, 3D software, illustrator to make those images so perfect. After all, the whole idea is to make a calendar to celebrate the happy Apocalypse and we can keep count down with Posta’s images on Facebook.
